If you visit Amazon and click on the Best-selling books, you will notice something weird.Even the best books that have sold the most copies and attracted thousands of positive reviews have not averaged a rating of 5 stars, Why, because you can’t please everyone.

For instance, if you look at a best-selling book called – Fifty Shades of Grey, it has almost 85,000 reviews. But on checking the reviews, you will find out that close to 5,200 reviewers rated it 2 stars and over 11,400 reviewers hated it so much that they rated it 1 star.

Another book, 7 Habits of Highly Successful People by Steven Covey has been selling millions of copies since 1989. In fact, some of you weren’t even born at that time. It has sold over 25 million copies and has over 15 million sales of the audio edition. Surprising, it has an average rating of 4.5 stars on Amazon. Even the most loved character, Dr. Seuss, has several 1-star reviews. I mean, who in their right mind does not love Dr. Seuss,

What I want to put across here is that no matter how successful you become, no matter how many people you help become successful, no matter how perfect you are, you will never be able to appeal to everyone. It is always like that – you simplycannot please everybody.

In fact, it is said that until you get haters, you are not successful. We brand haters as people who don?t like our products or services, but the truth is that their feedback shows a nerve you touched that sparked their reaction. Of course, there is constructive feedback but when anger can be seen in writing, then know that you are doing work that matters enough for them to care about. It doesn’t matter the niche you are in or how nice you are; there will always be people who dislike you or what you do. So what, Every book, every film, every radio personality, or movie star has critics.

Every service provider or product creator has critics. Everything in this world has critics because it is easy to be a critic. Criticism can be hard on product creators and service providers, but it is that criticism that makes them better. However, if more people give you negative
reviews than positive ones, you might have to restructure your strategy, product or service. A negative review out of a couple of positive reviews shows that you are on the right track. Remember – to make a stew, you have to stir the pot.

Therefore, the next time someone posts negative remarks on your blog posts, or report you as spam I want you to do this – cheer up and remind yourself that you are on the right path and you are doing the right thing.
